Correct VIN KS268Z154743 not KS2682154743
Even though I requested a picture of VIN tag and spid to ensure what I was buying was real, a misprint on registration of seller can really score things up. If you're making an online out of state purchase, make sure every detail is correct unless you want to be stuck trying to have out of state documents reproduced by your seller.
Fortunately I had plenty of documentation from previous owners to provide and a pencil rub of the vin, these documents must be approved in Albany before I will be issued a transferable registration. The reason I am posting this with the actual numbers is I am sure when they receive my paper work upstate, the first thing they will do is google the vin. |

Hmm. Not sure that the person requesting title transfer posting the VIN will sway the DMV crowd. Does the title match the metal VIN tag? That's all that really matters in the long run. Nice lookin burb!

No, the most recent seller had a transferable registration stub that had a 2 that we all know should be a Z. I had two original registration stubs from California in the 60s, the ProtectOPlate, and a copy of the bill of sale when my seller bought it, that's when his hand writing made a Z look like a 2 and DMV of NH didn't verify

I don't think DMV needs to be swayed, just making sure neither vin is ever listed as stolen or fraudulent. The last thing I would want is a state issued tag when my K20 is one of 299 and the tag is the only proof
