Anyone here that can 'burn' chips?

I've read soo many different threads that I've got a headache.
Looks like pretty much have to buy cables and such to use a laptop and go through emails.
OR, pay about 200+$ for a trial and error chip til you get it right.

I picked up this truck (1995 2500hd) since my daily pooped, then my backup rolled down my hill and was totaled out and needed a work truck.
It runs just OK for now, but could feel some slight surging at cruise (70mph)
and would like to install some headers that I have from a past truck.
Oh, and it's high mileage. Aprx 300k miles. 350/NV4500/8lug

Would like to know if anyone out there has tuned their truck and could take my chip and take off EGR and anything else that I dont' need for now.

Was 'supposed' to order a F.I. Tech setup but that's on the back burner, but hopefully before the end of November.. So, it's only temporary for now and don't want to spend the $$$ for a few months.

Thanks E
