After putting my 54 asleep for the winter,I drug the 58 frame back in shop.Yesterday I installed the brake lines to the rear wheels, still need to get some AN-3 flex hoses.next week I will finish brakes lines, gas lines and trans cooler hoses.I should be able to take frame to paint shop and install cab.cab is in primer, after I do a few more mods we will remove cab for paint.I still have a couple issues, like headers, and rear wheels.I set up frame for 12" wide wheels, but the ones I want (American torq thrust) are special made and are $3000.00 a set of 4 without tires,so that might change

That frame looks really good. I am hoping to paint my frame this week but need a dry weather window to roll it outside to finish cleaning it then back in for paint.

Hope it turns out as nice as yours.

Winter are tough where I live, but I'm ready.Got the 58 fenders fitted and it is at the paint shop before the snow hits.I will go pick up front clip and weld it all together to smooth it out ,but still will be running front bumper

Hey that looks great!

I have been working hard on my frame getting it ready for putting the cab on.

After finishing the sandblasting on the cab I found out I have to replace the lower hinge pockets so I will be a bit longer to catch up to you.

Anyway good work. Look forward to watching your progress.

looking good there hogfarm.
just curious if you could get a dimension for me from the step to the level of the floor. I think mine is at 8 3/4" but not sure what stock actually is supposed to be.
hotrodred, make sure to get a posteboard template of the area contours before you cut the old hinge pillar out. take a bunch of pics with the tape measure in view for reference later. you could also scribe a vertical line or mark with tape etc so you get the hinge in the right spot and also the angle of the outer edge. door adjustment and weatherstrip seal will fit better upon re-assemble. aftermarket stuff is never the same. not sure if stock stuff was even the same truck to truck.

Hey thanks for the heads up on the photos and poster board. This has me worried a bit as it is pretty complex with lots of pieces and is such a critical location. Hope to have photos of the frame progress up later today.

Looking good. Just finishing a 2 year 1500 hour resto on my 58. Converted to big back window as well. Can't wait to get it done. Good luck with your build!
