need help deciding

Hi I have a 1959 chevy apache fleetside big window in need of restoring and a 1971 3/4 ton Suburban with all options minus a/c but has a big block they made 1203 of them on 71 who knows how many had big blocks. I need to sell one to help pay some bills. I am wondering which one will be harder to replace or harder to find later? Just wondering what you guys think?

Heck no. There's more of them now than in 59. The suburban will be more rare, but that doesn't necessarily make it more desirable.

Sell the one that will fetch more money.

I would rather sell the one that will be easier to replace but I hear you

in game theory I learned about being prepared for the insane response, which is also sometimes called the nuclear option.

you only live once, sell them both!

I'm doing a double degree in mathmatics and geomatics engineering I know game theory very well but selling both would be sad lol.

I think I'll keep the big window it has been a dream car for years I personally don't see many big window fleetsides for sale but I am not sure what the production numbers for 59s

Offer both for sale and keep whichever is left when one sells.

I get it, but it's still an irrational decision. The rational option is to recognize that a small amount of $$ does less good to get you out of a financial situation. If you sell the truck you want the least and are unable to get clear of the present situation, or barely get clear and find yourself in a similar situation in the near future, you may be selling the other truck anyway. The vehicle you sell should be the one that nets the greatest $$ and there is good argument to sell both. Time and financial situations are constantly in flux and when you are in a better place you can seek out one, or both, replacement trucks.

FYI I sold my first truck, a '55 with some rare options, for a wrecked '79 Caprice when I was 18 because I could fix the car and make it driveable. 18 years later I bought a replacement truck and started again. The finished product is far better than what I had previously.

Life is to Short, Keep the one that YOU want and are going to be happy with!
You just might NOT find yourself in that better place to seek out another one!

Just my 2 cents
