Re: Another one! Egg crate finally!
If someone could rotate the pic that would be awesome! :eyeroll:
Also does it mean it's a highlander if it has a houndstooth seat? |
Re: Another one! Egg crate finally!
houndstooth is original on supers.

Re: Another one! Egg crate finally!
Very nice truck. Good that you found it, and we'd all like to see the SPID, and lots more photos!

Re: Another one! Egg crate finally!
What did you have to give for it? I called the guy and he was a real jerk when he replied by text...I have too many right now but that did look like a pretty good buy. Has tilt steering column doesn't it? Thought I could see that in his crappy photos on c-list

Re: Another one! Egg crate finally!
Great looking Cheyenne! Don't ever repaint it-nice patina. (it's not a HighLander)

Re: Another one! Egg crate finally!
Congrats!

Re: Another one! Egg crate finally!
As mentioned above - supers had houndstooth. Highlander plaid could only be had on a Custom Deluxe.

Re: Another one! Egg crate finally!
I got her for 1000! Good deal hardly any rust and complete! The worst of the rust is the driver door, typical core support issue under the battery and some rust in the bed. But solid tailgate! Randy500 that's surprising... the guy was very nice to me and went out of his way to make the deal happen.. no tilt column unfortunately. Gentlemen thanks for clearing up the highlander questions! Scampr my cap is in driver shape and I am about to get a full set... maybe we can work something out! Love to help you guys out. And frenchy51 don't worry she's not gettin near anything but maybe some clear!
I cleaned the cab out today and put a battery in it to see what works and what doesn't and so far I've got a few ground issues with blinkers but all lights come on except dome. And missing the cargo lamp. More pics to come! SPID and interiors shots I will get ASAP but here's some to show off  |

Re: Another one! Egg crate finally!
Looks like a pretty good buy! Congrats. I probably should have went and looked at it but the guys message rubbed me wrong. I wish eh would have put up some better pics of it too. Had no idea it had that rear bumper. I have some cab lights here if you decide you want to put one back on it.

Re: Another one! Egg crate finally!
Heck yea I'd love to get one. Maybe if I get the old girl goin next week I can make a trip of it! He wasn't one for technology don't get me wrong I got very brief texts too but I don't ever judge by texts unless it's obvious. It's so hard to tell how someone means something without physically hearing it. The truck was 10 miles from homes so I went and saw it at the storage lot before I even met him  she is real dirty and mossy but once I wash it I will get more pics..

I know it's not the SPID but here's the build sheet. It's in pretty good nick! I've got the one for my 69 too. Both trucks had two,one in the seat back and a nicer one. The 69's nice one was between the gas tank and the cardboard tank cover surprised the tanks sweating didn't destroy it! And the 72's was smack dab in the middle of the floor where the passengers feet would rest. Taped to the cab floor under the carpet and underlayment. Interesting this truck (72) didnt have the "shipped to" Section filled out. Although it has the dealership it was ordered at? Perhaps the truck was picked up and never went to the dealership? Long drive from the Fremont plant to bothel for a pickup back then! What are halls thoughts?
