dually swap questions

looking to see the differences between a dually frame and a 1978c10 style frame,

basically ive got a 1978c10 long bed that i have the un dying passion to make into a dually. from what ive gather i just need to swap the rear end add the fender flares for the rear, and in the front i just swap control arms spindles brakes etc and than i have a dually truck.

correct or no, any advice would be nice and helpful before i just start buying parts that wont work

A c30 frame is a lot thicker and has more cross members then a c10 frame.Honestly i would just buy a dually over swapping it.You can find a reg cab 2wd dually pretty cheap now a days.

Re: dually swap questions

I guess this depends on whether you just want the dually look or the dually performance. A true dually is a 1 ton truck. It would have a stronger frame and stronger hydroboost brakes. Even if you swap the rear axle and front suspension you will not get everything that makes it a 1 ton dually.
