What's the best tool you've found this year? What do I want under the Christmas tree?

We have a "right tool for the job" thread that I didn't want to randomize too much, but I'd love to hear stories of the tool you bought in the last year or two that have really changed things for you.

For me, for example: the Mastercool hydraulic flaring set.

If you've ever fought with the old wingnut-screw type deal, you'll love it.

And the best tool I've bought this year is the SnapOn LED work light, actually. It's LED (I assume) but over a long strip so there's no single point-light to blind you, yet it's still very bright and lasts forever.

Christmas is coming and we all need gift ideas... what do I want under the tree?

Good call on the Snap On light. Picked up one of those too.

How about a set of these?

I've used mine enough at work that they're almost worn out.

Well,I finally bought a power steering pump pulley puller!
Fits our old cars and trucks. And,newer stuff too.
Much better than running to the auto parts to get one pulled!
Last year,I got a tubing bender.for brake lines and other small tubing. It's already earned it's cost!

Hhmm, I just bought a new Hobart 200 amp MIG welder with my "on call" pay and then I made a nice rolling bench out of scrap metal with it. So I'm not sure if it is the welder or what I made with the welder....hhhmmm.

This year I bought a no-more-foolin-around tool, the 3 ton aluminum and steel floor jack that Costco sells. The brand is Arcan and it was $99. Everybody wants one of those under the Christmas tree.

Electric, 3 CFM vacuum pump and manifold gauge set for r134a...

...all for less than a shop would charge to pull a vacuum and charge a system ( about 100 bucks ).

What I want under the tree: T-56 6speed tranny and all the parts necessary to swap out the 700r.

I got one of these: http://www.lasvegastool.com/Easy-Puller

Used it twice but totally worth it.

Cool! I have a few of those (Power Probe, vacuum pump, R134 manifold) that I picked up as I restored my truck. All very handy!

For my list so far about all I have are the 30' retractable test leads, so keep the ideas coming!

right along the lines of another recent post, I bought one of these belt attachemnts

http://www.trick-tools.com/Multitool...ment_MT362_305

and a JET 10" 1HP bench grinder to attach it to. It's ASTOUNDING how quick a belt cuts compared to a regular wheel.A hand full of belts, disks for the side pad and I was in to it all less than $800ish

I managed to post this in the wrong thread but anyway this is the best tool I got last year. I doubt I will ever use my air impacts again. I need to get the little brother to this guy. The 3/8 for tighter jobs.

I have gone total Milwaukee M12 and M18 cordless as well, my air is for the blow gun and tires. Get the 3/8 impact, you will love it. I have the M12 ratchet, dremmel type tool that all the attachments work, M18 1/2 impact and the best so far is the deep cut M18 band saw, love that one.

I guess I go more basic with my tool discoveries, I like odd tools but these look very practical
