Ok...it's not your typical where do I cut question. I was just wondering if it's easier to look for a short bed frame than to cut down the lwb.

So I guess I'm also looking for a pair of swb bedsides and a swb frame in the ohio, indiana, kentucky area for a good price.

What's fair market value for a swb frame?

Try the search function. We've talked about it before. There may be some rolling frames on the parts board. I've seen some on ebay, also.

I would look for a shortbed frame vs. cutting for sure. Not that cutting wouldnt work. Just me:)

You could have that frame cut and welded in the time it would take you to drive to Kentucky and back. just my 2 cents

look at some of the back issues of CCt magazine the did one a while back let me look after while and i will tell you what issue it is in

I bought my frame for 100 bucks.

Try to find a swb truck as cheap as you can and make one truck from the two. This cost more money, but if you clean and paint the parts as you build everything is done your way. Sell off all the parts that you have extra. I bought complete running 70 gmc swb with a small block 350 for $800.00.

I had exactly the same dilemma. Bought a rolling short bed frame for $125. This is defiantly the way to go unless you just want practice cutting and welding a frame.

I sold a 4x4 short frame for $500.00 ! But that was a 4x4, I would say the 2wd frames would be less $$$ to buy ! good luck with your search ! Landon

I paid $100 for my SWB rolling frame complete with rear end and rally's.

If you have close access to a short frame, do it. If you have to drive 43 hours to find one, might want to look into the alternative :(
