How to pull rear tubs?

1 Attachment(s)
I have 66 suburban that I'm bagging and need to relocate rear fender but I can't for the life of me find the bolts (if any) that are holding it in place to the inner skin? I already took floor out so the deck bolts are out and the fender is suspended in air held by whatever is keeping it up. Any help would be appreciated.

They are bolted in via the wheelwell area. Might have undercoating covering the bolts. Remove the wheels to get to them.

Suburban/Panel rear wheel wells are spot welded to the body side panel. They aren't the same as pickups. There are some builds posted here that removed and moved them up like you want to do, but I'm not sure they describe in detail how they did it.

Really? Humm... guess I'll have to look again. Seems weird GM would not make them bolt in but they have done weird things before. LOL

They were definitely not bolted. I ended up plasma cutting them out.

Yeah, and the tubs are not the same as pickups either- they are round on top where the pickups are sorta squared off. I don't understand why they bothered to re-tool the parts just for panels/suburbans. There had to be a reason, I just don't know it.

Wow, I don't think I ever really noticed that. Hummm... learned something new. :metal:
