C20 search

Hi everyone,

This is not a want to buy or what's it worth for any specific truck so I hope it's within the rules. I would like to find a nice C20 but I'm not sure what a fair price would be. I'm not looking for a show truck but something pretty clean and well equipped. I prefer AC and a big block. I know that's not very specific, but I'm open to different options. I would appreciate any opinions on what I can expect to pay. I currently have a 72 Cheyenne k10 short bed in fair condition. I've had it about 20 years and paid $3500 for it then. These current prices seam crazy but that's the way it goes I guess. Thanks.

Depends on location, but for what you describe with A/C and I assume a 396 or 402, plan on 8ish for "pretty clean" and maybe double that for nice. Another option is 3-6K and fix it up.

I recently bought a 72 Super C20 with a 402 and A/C for 3K. Course the A/C doesn't work, the cab is rusty, the tailgate and brakes were shot and it needs front tires.

I bought a C20 2 years ago with some rust and body damage but runs and drives just fine for $850. A BBC truck might bring a bit more. But there should be no reason you can't find a 3/4 ton for $1,500 bucks in decent shape.
