Need your advise on a new project, I am new to this part of the forum.
All my interest up till now has been "Squarebody" trucks.

I found this 1950 3100, Do you think its a deal at $2500.00?
Here are some pics.
thanks in advance.

To be honest, it's what you want to pay for it. If you were planning on doing a S10 swap, I say its pretty decent. Always remember that there is more rust than you see when you buy it. $2,500 seems a bit steep just by looking at the pics, but if its a running motor and tranny, everything works, and you don't mind body work and welding, I say go for it.

Just looking at the pictures, the bed looks like its a lot more rusted than one would hope. I see some pretty big holes forward of the rear fender. The cab, ouch. It's going to need work. Floors have plywood covering them and I don't see a seat or seat frame. I would also be concerned about where the interior trim pieces are for the cab and if they are complete. Maybe add a fuel tank to the list of purchases. From my own limited experience, you will probably have spent as much as I have over the last 6 months and still have a long way to go. Oh I forgot, no glass.

I happened to see the same truck on Craigslist and its listed for $4000. Probably worth something, but its rough as it sits now.

OK, thanks

Sure would appreciate any help finding a truck. Around here rough shape is the norm.

This forum found my truck, so you're in a good spot. Maybe try here?

Also doesn't hurt to search in the desert areas like Dallas, TX craigslist For example, this is a much more solid truck and will get you further for the same dollars even after shipping. I shipped mine from that area to PA for $900.

Make sure it has a title too. That can be a nightmare.

Good call, I did not realize the title nightmare in Pa. these people are crazy.

I came from Maryland where it is simple to title these kind of projects.
