Hello all I hope everyone's enjoying a wonderful day. I have a question or two. First off I lost one of my daily drivers last month and I've decided to put old faithful back on the road. I have a 1989 GMC Suburban I'm working on and I'm looking for tips for the interior anyone got some cool ideas I would like to do a 60/40 split front seat and captains on the second row any pics out there I can work with?:gmc2:
By the way I was in the Bur

WOW! Looks lke someone hit you head-on while being loaded onto a rollback. Nah, just kidding. I know it isn't funny. I no longer drive a '91 Suburban because a guy rammed me head-on, too. So, the other driver crossed over and you tried to get off to the side? Definitely over in your territory, so hopefully things went ok for you...all things considered?

Anyway, welcome to the site from Maryland. You have an oddball as far as categorizing these trucks go. Although this is the 88-98 message board, the R/V models were square bodies, so your question will get better response if you post over in the 73-87 board. The 60/40 should be an easy swap and the captain chair mid-row sounds like a great idea

LOL yeah he got me. luckily I was able to walk away with only a broken hand. I have a 89 Bur that I've been sitting on for awhile and I think instead of buying something new I'll try and get her up and running. If I get any request I'll post a few pics along the way.:gmc2:

I'd like to see it. I had a '91 V2500 diesel I loved. I also had someone hit me head-on. It was still driveable, but was the beginning of the end for it. I wanted another square body Suburban but ended up with the '95. I still look at those last square bodies and right now considering one.

What does yours need to get going?

Well its been sitting up for the last nine years. I quit driving it because of the steering, it needed a new steering gear box at the time
But I'm sure over time there are a few more things that need replacing. I hope to have her on the road before the end of February
