Re: Bed to cab gap
Anyone measure the gap? I cut my bed down to a short bed also. The gap from the back of the cab to the front box panel measures 11/8 inch on one side and 1 inch on the other. I need to spend some time getting it all straight but im curios about an actual measurement myself.

Thanks for the reply guys. My truck goes back for final paint soon. Once its done i will be able to line it up better and bolt it down.

Re: Bed to cab gap
I know what you meen. Ive been very surprised at the amount of movement when it comes to reassembly. I had to loosen my cab mount bolts and adjust the cab forward. I was having trouble with my inner fenders. I was blown away. You really need to have a close look at the whole thing when you put it back together not just the part your working on. Especially when you've stripped it to the fram and done the amount of work I've had to do. Thanks again.

Re: Bed to cab gap
Yeah, my painter initially wanted to remove the cab to paint it...I told him "no way" since I had aligned all of the sheetmetal before dropping the truck off to him. I didn't want to re-live that whole process with all of the sheetmetal painted.
