Re: NOS auxiliary steps
It looks like you have all the information. What additional information would you like?

Re: NOS auxiliary steps
I have seen the 73-87 chevy auxiliary steps with boxes on ebay in the past and they were asking big$$.....did a quick google search of that # and nothing came up((that's when you know you have something rare))..wanted to see when gm offered them in our year trucks...those are really neat!

Re: NOS auxiliary steps
Back in '72 a person wouldn't think twice about drilling those big holes in their new truck floor. Would you want to do that now? For me, they can stay in the box and be a big investment rather than a source for 8 new holes in my floor and lost value in the N.O.S. status

Re: NOS auxiliary steps
My wife is 5'2 and thats why I bought these steps, so I know what your talking about OHBOY321. I was hoping someone had seen these somewhere before and how they looked installed. I'm not to crazy about drilling holes in my cab either,so I talked to a welder and he can make me some brackets that will connect to the frame and then I can install the steps to those brackets. But first I'm going to look into an electric step or something similar to that, haven't decided yet which way I'm going to go with this project.

Re: NOS auxiliary steps
These are GM accessories sold through the parts dept, just like bumper guards, Ventshades, 8-tracks, etc. I guess you could say GM aftermarket, not from factory.

I have a '73 print date 1974 Chevrolet Accessories booklet that shows what looks to be those very same auxiliary steps to be for a Blazer. Not the best pic or camera but from the pic you can see that there were four separate offerings for the steps. Blazer, pickup/suburban, van and van w/sliding door. Try a Google search with the part number and see what that shows. Hope this helps somewhat. :chevy:

Re: NOS auxiliary steps
GM Parts wiki shows them discontinued in 2/74, changed to 994454. Original price $17.
