I was at davestrucks house and he showed me these single wall top hold down strips,The bend that goes towards the inside of the blazer when mounted is different then most pairs I've seen.Dave has been in the blazer game for awhile and hasn't seen another pair! I attatched 4 pictures of the set he has,the last pic is of the type most people have seen.sorry for the bad pics.

I had 2 sets that were different the leg going over the inside edge was longer on the one set. Actually another forum member noticed it when he was over and brought it to my attention. See post 31 on the link below we thought maybe it was a CST non/CST thing because the non/CST blazer's don't have the chrome strip for the rear panel.

That's interesting. I'll bet Dwayne is onto it. My CST has the shorter lip version.

Anyone with a non-CST single wall 1972 K5 to chime in with what version is on their truck?

That has the longer leg it may interfere with the rear panel strips if you are doing a CST

Can anyone share a pic of how they look when installed. I am not sure if the lip is supposed to be on the inside or..? To me it would make more sense to place a rubber strip along the rail where the top meets first to avoid any leaks but hopefully someone on here has the correct solution.. Also, it seems like they have to be removed when the top is removed as well.. thoughts.?

These strips are for a single wall top. They go between the bolts and the top itself under the side window area.

On a single wall top, the bolts go down into the bedside. So from up to down it goes- bolts, strips, top, and then bedside.

So yes, when you remove the top these are removed also. They do not go between the top and bedside.
