What headers will fit a 58 Apache with 64 impala sub frame
 

Hi there, I'm looking to see what headers would best fit my truck. I'm looking for full length or mid length headers instead of the block huggers so if anyone knows what would be a nice fit, let me know. As it says I have an impala sub frame and being in Scotland the last thing I want is to buy some that don't fit as I can't very easily swap them out for other ones.

Can you post pic's of the subframe? Is the engine in? I think if the engine is mounted close to where it was in the car, then the headers for the car should fit. Is the steering box mounted forward of the tires (front steer)? If so, then Camaro or Chevelle headers should work. Need pic's to get a better guess.

I'll need to dig out some pictures of the truck before i pulled the engine out but here are some pictures of how the chassis sits as of now and yes it's front steer as you can see in the picture.

Check the headers for early 70's chevelles , Camaros and Novas. there is a list for 70 Chevelle here. a lot of choices to pick from and a lot of comments in the comment section. Most have to be run with shorty plugs though. https://www.summitracing.com/search/...rder=Ascending

I looked up a set of 63 impala headers and they won't work the best as the collectors are installed at and angle to clear the frame rails of the 58/64 Impalas.

mr48chev is right 69-72 Chevelle should do the job
Please note
headers on the "B" body cars
had an issue with them being low (ground clearance)
on the collector end

your transmission crossmember looks upside down to me?

Thanks for the replies guys, it gives me a starting point on what to go for. The transmission cross member is indeed upside down tmoble but it's not bolted in or some crazy way to mount the transmission it's just where it was put when i was sweeping the floor :D It will go underneath as normal.
