Looking for Dana 44 Rear axle Backing plates, I have a 1971 GMC K15.

Thanks andyh1956 for the reply, I am going to keep the welded on ones for now until I can find a good original diff that has them already on it.

Depending on what gears are in your Dana 44, I would recommend changing it for a 12 bolt. You can get drums for a 12 bolt. Not so easy for the Dana 44.
