67 Short Frame value
I have the opportunity to buy a rolling '67 SWB frame. I am interested in the 9" rearend, coilovers, and other suspension components on it (just shortened my '71 frame over the weekend). This is an original short frame, not cut / welded. After doing a bit of looking around, maybe the bare frame isn't as valuable as i thought. Don't see much recent though. It would be a decent deal for me if i can get $500 for the frame, maybe that's too much?
One of the few times I am actually seeking others opinions :) |
Re: 67 Short Frame value
Went ahead and picked this up yesterday. Turns out it is a '72 frame. Good shape, other than some of the holes filled in and some ugly blue paint. Now I'll have to decide which frame to use and which to sell.

Re: 67 Short Frame value
I bought a 1969 Long Bed coil sprung rolling frame with a stock 12-bolt posi-traction 3.73 rear end a few years back. The guy also pressure washed it, media blasted it, and painted it for me. All of that was $800 bucks.

71-72 frames have factory front disc brakes...

Re: 67 Short Frame value
Use the real swb frame & sell the chopped one, give the truck a bit more value but obviously still not as much a real swb titled truck.
