Need Help, 70 C20 2" Lowering Shackles for 2 1/4" wide springs ?
 

I ran into a road block trying to find 2" lowering shackles for my 1970 C20 2wd. All the shackle kits that I have found are for 2 1/2" wide springs. Performance On Line and Chassis Tech/AirBagIt do not offer lowering shackles for the 2 1/4" wide springs.
Does anyone know of a supplier or do I modify the stock ones for my application ?

Not sure on your question but you may want to get the mods to move this to suspension section you may get a quicker answer.

You are essentially talking about 1/8" on each side. Most the time you can pinch the 2 1/2" to fit the 2 1/4" leafs. In the past I have also found washer that are 1/8" thick and put them on each side of the spring to make total width 2 1/2". Its really up to you on how you want to make it work. I personally would modify the wider shackles to make them work with the thinner leafs. I'm not 100% on how the leaf/shackles fit on a '70 but you may want to look into different year trucks and match something for what your wanting to do.

I used the djm DJMSH1012C2 drop shackles and they fit great.
