Gibson C10 swap headers dont fit
4 Attachment(s)
I am installing a 6.0 supercharged engine into my 71 C20 and have Gibson ls swap headers. I just installed my engine and they wont fit. They are hitting my Cpp engine stands. I also have Cpp engine sliding motor mounts. Any one else run into this. Its like my engine has to go up. Or get different headers.

Re: Gibson C10 swap headers dont fit
Probably get a quick answer from Gibson themselves.. they may have made those headers to work with one specific mount

Re: Gibson C10 swap headers dont fit
they said they used transdapt mounts but no part numbers for me. Awesome looking headers but they were not very helpful in my situation. They said I may have to bring the motor up but I think im going to cut the engine stands and reshape them.

Re: Gibson C10 swap headers dont fit
This isnt good to hear. I'm getting ready to install my ls engine and have the same headers with cpp engine stands. Im using universal ls adapter plates with polyurethane mounts. Likely to run into this same problem

Re: Gibson C10 swap headers dont fit
I think there was a thread on this once before. The answer was to trim the mounts. Seems the CPP mounts hit more than one brand header.

That's what this guy did to make them fit. These are the uncoated Gibson headers.

Re: Gibson C10 swap headers dont fit
I ended up trimming the engine stand like you have pictured. The passenger side had the most interference on mine.
