Tach Dash

I have a factory Tach-Dash not sure what year 73-80 it has the tach harness and a pigtail for the main connection It has a 80 PSI oil pressure gauge. It will need a new lens (Scratched really bad) and a circuit board(separating) I can not get my pictures to upload but I can text them to you Asking $300.00 shipped.

Re: Tach Dash

Amps gauge indicates 73-75 I believe. There used to be a good how to for identifying these on the 73-87 websites I think

Re: Tach Dash

That's an odd cluster...amps indicate 73-74 and the tach with the colorband is 78-79 as is the speedo judging by the blue acccent...so I think it's a put together 73-74 with 77-79 speedo and tach.

Re: Tach Dash

yup, and it also has the large "windows" under the speedo and tach which is 77 and later.

Re: Tach Dash

Ok...so closer inspection of the pics reveals:

No mechanical oil gauge/line so it's a 1978-up tach housing

Appears to have a 73-75 amp gauge instead of 1976-up volts

Appears to be 1977-79 speedo/tach judging by the accent blue

Appears to have large indicator windows so NOT 2WD

Now, assuming this has a correct tach printed circuit (no production C/K/R trucks that I've seen have both an amp gauge and an electric oil pressure gauge) and all 73-77 mechanical oil gauge I've seen are 80 psi while the electric ones are 60-the only other type of truck I've seen this exact type of cluster in is the big series C60/C70 gas trucks or any version of that chassis-grain trucks, etc. so that's my guess as to the origin of this particular cluster.

It will still work in a regular truck tho-the oil pressure switch would be tuff tho-whoever buys this should look for a 1978-80 C60 series gas engine 366 truck as far as parts store application-may have to research the OEM GM switch part # and then cross reference that.

Re: Tach Dash

I looked through my catalogs and it looks like the correct 80 psi electric oil sending unit for that cluster is Standard PS157. The GM # is 14039612 but doesn't appear to be available anymore. So there ya go-if anybody is interested in that cluster you may wanna take note on that-there aren't gonna be 366 parts readily available in the future-might wanna buy 2 or 3 of them sending units lol
