Original Upper Radiator Pipes

5 Attachment(s)
I was wondering if anyone has any info on upper radiator pipes.
The black was removed from our 66 chevy with 283.
The others were removed from 63-66 but might not be correct.
Any information on the different pipes would be appreciated.

Those look like they were made with a muffler shop bender.

I'm thinking back in the day the term "mandrel bent" wasn't invented yet.

The black one is correct 1963-1966 Part number 3826373 with 283 series 10-30 ( Exc A.I.R. ). The two short ones ( I think ? ) are part number 3889196 which is 1966 283 WITH A.I.R. . Theres one more specific to 1965 and 1966 327 10-30 series 3868549 . A.I.R. being Air Injection Reactor or Smog pump , not AIR Conditioning. I don't think I have that one but all 3 have different bends and lengths. Im thinking the 65 66 327 has to do with the 4 core radiator ? I'll see if I can post a picture of all three later.

Didnt you part out a C60 or big truck ? That could be another one with a different bend. None of the numbers I posted are for medium or larger trucks

Are the header tanks for a 4-core different than a 3?

Just that its thicker , might also have to do with the raised water neck or a combination of both
.

We did have a 65 with 327 so that might be one of the short ones.

We did have a c60 so maybe one of them is from it.

I have an aftermarket one for my 283 but have to have it modified as it is right up against the radiator inlet so can't get the rubber hose on it. Since no one makes the pre formed rubber hoses for these engines, I'm going to put the metal one on.

Are those two short ones exactly the same ? If we could get Yelmer to chime in Im sure he has some 327 info on these.

No, the top pipe in the first picture has a bigger end on the left side and the bends are a little different.
