Fender emblem idea.

Hi all,

I have bought a couple OEM "Custom/10" emblems and two NOS units. The NOS units had black paint on the inside of the emblem letters....

I've been encouraged by the member that used a syringe and nail polish to rehab his emblems. What do you guys think of using blue nail polish to rehab the "Custom 10" fender emblem? I know black would be correct but I think blue would go rather nicely with the blue color of the front "bowtie" on the grill.

Thoughts?

I have tons of needles, both 23 and 25 gauge and an equal number of syringes.

This is a little more out of the box. I painted it flat body color. Did it just for fun to see what it would look like. It will be a while before I know since my truck is far from done

Try it, I used lacquer nail polish for the red in mine. It's like a semi transparent type and shows the details in the machining of the emblem.

Give it a shot. You can always redo them black if you don't like it

I think I will try it. :)

Can anyone suggest a shade of blue fingernail polish to do it with?

I think blue in the emblem would look nicer than black.
