engine stalls at idle when steering wheel is turned
So, my first weekend to have the 69 out this spring and everything went pretty good until it started to stall at stop signs, stop lights when it was idling and I turned the wheel. This truck has power steering and it feels like it is working, but the load from the pump is causing it to stall???
I let the truck set for a bit and in the driveway I started it up, good there. Idles good, belt ok on the pump. I reached in the window and turned the steering wheel......stall. Anyone have this issue? Help Please!!! Brian |
Re: engine stalls at idle when steering wheel is turned
It could be your idle speed is set too low. How far do you have to turn it before it stalls?

Re: engine stalls at idle when steering wheel is turned
just a small amount of turn killed it....a couple of inches of turn maybe.
