GMC Paint Schemes (Barbell Grill Support)
5 Attachment(s)
Not wanting to start any fistfights over this topic. I separated out the photos from the GM design division and you can clearly see that for WHATEVER Reason GMC did in fact paint the area behind the Headlight Barbell black. I have a real hard time thinking that they did this JUST for these shots (why bother) I'm not saying that this area was never painted the solid color, but these trucks do exist with this blacked out area.
I know this has caused many a discussion, but you have to ask WHY would the design folks go to the trouble to paint this black just for these pictures? Why would this scheme not carried over to the line on some models? The dates of the photos are when they where started to consider changing he hood and grill, as well as WIDE side trim, which in my opinion looks damn cool! |

Re: GMC Paint Schemes (Barbell Grill Support)
Our 3 1966 GMC trucks all had original paint and are body color behind the grill. That idea must not have made it into production like alot of the other gmc designs.
