We,ve been looking for a project for my youngest son. Tonight I found this. 71, 1/2 ton, LWB, 5 lug disc, 350/350, TILT, NO RUST (man I love Ca) very straight. The guy was asking $1200, I got it for $900. Runs great needs to be cleanded up and painted.

Man what a score! $900!!! Rust free!!! I hate you!!! Just kidding- that is so cool you are helping your son- Father son projects are the best! Have fun too!

Thanks Guys
It does need a few things but it's a GREAT start. All the good stuff is there. It will need complete interior and a new outer grill (dented on pass side). Both my boys did a lot of work on MY truck. This will be a lot of father son fun workin on this one

What a deal. Looks like a great project. Saved yourself the fun of searching for a tilt wheel too!

jays68yak 10-22-2003 11:16 AM

wow thats a good deal.

1970 CST Short Wide 10-22-2003 11:19 AM

Thanks Landon, Yes the search is over.

Yukon, very true. It still has the stock Steering wheel, its ruff and has some cracks. I'll bet my son has it replaced by the time I get home today.

When I got home last night he had the steering wheel changed (as I thought) and then tells me to look at the glove box door.
What do I see but 3;73 POSI. I can't believe it. When I bought My truck for $1800 it didn't have squat. He picks this one up for $900 and it's got everything but AC. Lucky little Sh!t

Oh well at least I get to work on it too.

:burnout: :burnout:

I'll keep you all posted as it progresses.
