2500 HD wheels?

Anyone running wheels off the newer chevy 2500 HDs on their 67-72 3/4 ton? I assume they work since the bolt pattern is 8 lug x 6.5". I see them on ebay all the time and wonder how they would look on my '71 sub.

Here's an ebay link so you can see what I am talking about:

Those wheels look good, I don't have them on my truck but there is a 69 in town that has them .If you are putting them on a Disc break truck ,I would make sure the calipers clear .
I went with eagle's to get 8" wide rims.

Good Luck.

I've been wondering the same thing. I'd love to run some on my '71 GMC. Also thinking about the 90's style steel ralleys as a cheaper alternative.

Not sure about the 3/4 ton stuff, but the 1/2 ton wheels do not work for us. The bolt pattern is good, but the offset is wrong for the front. The wheel rubs when you turn one direction, and the tire rubs when you turn the other.

Anybody looking for a set of the newer style wheels, let me know, I have a set.

Pretty sure they will bolt on and work fine, but I believe the centercap in the back will require a spacer and you will need the adapter lugnuts to install the centercaps because the factory ones are metric

They work. but if you want to put the center caps on, you have to get the studs replaced with metric to be able to use the outer threaded lug nuts. I put them on my c-20 just to see what they look like, and I have decided to buy aftermerket ones. I'm pickey though.

They make a 9/16" lugnut that has the outside threads for the plastic nuts to screw on. I had to get some for my newer chevy style rallies

Do you guys know where to get the adapter lug nuts?

Bill72BB 10-23-2003 12:56 PM

When I was looking this guy said he had them,
Gonzalez Ent,( Lug Nut King) Pm me for the phone # it's in Mira Loma Calif.

Here is the address where I always get them. Usally reasonable price also. I think I first got the information from Tom Hand. Thanks Tom!
