Shocks

2 Attachment(s)
Currently I have stock A-Arms with a static 3.5"(2.5" spindle, 1" spring)/5" drop while using CPP's rear shock relocation brackets. With that drop and their shocks all the way around, my ride is stiff as hell and jiggles my fat!!! :waah: I am going to be installing CPP's tubular control arms very soon.

I am curious to know what everyone is using for shocks with the drop I have. Before I lowered it, my truck rode like a Cadillac with crappy autozone shocks! When I look at my rear shocks at least, it looks like the wear on the shaft is only about an inch in depth.

Is this even shock problem?

I know I don't have a wood bed kit or a tail gate installed on the truck yet, but you would think that would make it bouncier, but man I feel EVERY bump EVERY pebble.

Thanks for the help

Mike

The added weight will improve the ride. Right now you are over sprung for the weight so it makes the spring seem really stiff. I would get it all together before making to many changes. I had the CPP shocks on my 66 when I got it and they were not real good. I am running Belltech street performance shocks on it now and really like them.

Do you have some part numbers? I would like to research them. Thanks in advance

If you can get me a measurement from center of mounting point at the top to center of mounting point at the bottom, I would be more than happy to try and put together a part number or something for you.
