I'm starting on my old project. It's been sitting here in my shop for 15 years!
Time to get it going. I have a lot of parts I've picked up over the years at swap meets, car shows, EBay etc. First I will pull the cab gas tank out!

First let me tell you guys about me. I will be 70 this year so my rebuild may be slow and boring to some. I'm not going to lower it. I will stay somewhat stock for now. Later I will put in an old school 350 with carb. etc. headers with cutouts. IFS.
Never the less I will need you guys help. I'm a young almost 70. I play music live around town and have a FB Music page. " Bob Josey's Music" That I use to get jobs, S/S and the secondhand store don't bring in a lot of money. Folks tell me I look much younger. I also work 4 days a week at my secondhand store. So not much time to work on the old truck. I was 10 years old when this truck was new, so it brings back old memories. I'm also a Vietnam vet. I ride an ultra classic Harley with the CVMA. So I have lots of excuses for going about this slow. Oh and It's HOT as hell in south Louisiana!

Enough about me, I pulled the tank and it had some rust inside. I almost decide to use it. I never heard of one blowing up but I'm sure they have, well the gooks didn't get me and I sure as hell don't want to meet my maker cuz of an old gas tank! Lol. Plus trash in the fuel! Better get a new under the bed one. I don't need a pretty one. No one will see it after the bed is put on. I want one that works good and I hope less $$ than an aluminum one! At a car show I won't be showing everyone who will listen pictures of my pretty tank Via a cell phone picture!
