good source for lowering components?

so It looks like I'm back in the truck world after several years of being out....I found a super nice 86 swb 2wd and I want to lower it.

I haven't lowered a truck in around 7 years, so I'm abit rusty, I want to go 5/7 with spindles/coils up front and flip kit/shackles in the rear. I plan on putting 20" wheels on it as well.

where is a good source to purchase these items? I want cheap but good, make sense? its been so long, I cant remember where I used to buy these things

Try CPP. I have never had an issue with their products.

Check the review board,... a lot of people have had issues with them.

My choice would be Belltech or Western Chassis for 73-87 parts.
These two companies have the best c-notch in my opinion.
Look at Summit Racing or any other source that offers free shipping.
That will save you a bunch.

I agree with lolife99 go belltech or western chassis which i had on mine would avoid djm as many ppl had bad luck with them an parts are not made that good.....also pick up some rear shock relocators along with drop shocks. Summit racing would be best as thats where i got mine

Yes Belltech and Western Chassis are good and summit has good prices with free shipping.
I did not use a c-notch because the rear end pumpkin would hit and break in to my wood bed.
I also used the shock relocaters with my stock shocks.

Western Chassis gets my vote. Followed by BellTech.

Are shock relocators only recommended for the rear shocks?

Or do the fronts need them too? Thanks!

That's a nice 86! Gonna look sharp that low!

I would use them just for the rear along with drop shocks for the rear.....you just need shocks for the front

so you can use any old regular shock for the front when you lower it?...say 2.5" spindles, with 2.5" coils?

You'll need shorter shocks, I know that Belltech and Ridetech both make shorter shocks for the front.

Where are you finding 2.5" drop coils from? I haven't seen any myself and am curious. Thanks!

We offer a few different products. What are you looking to do with the truck? Do you have a particular height in mind?
