headers or camaro manifolds
I have a 1970 c10 swb ls swap. I installed new brake lines that are disk, and my concern is on the passenger side, that the ls3 manifolds or some brands of headers my hit the brake tubing loop that goes to the rear. I problably prefer the ls3 manifolds if they completely clear everything, but wouldnt mind headers either. I have the newest cpp frame and engine mounts that are sliders.

Re: headers or camaro manifolds
Are you asking a question? If so, please rephrase.
Thanks. |
Re: headers or camaro manifolds
I guess I was thinking too much. Will the ls3 manifolds work without any clearance problems, or will I have to limit my self to doug thorleys for proper clearance?

Re: headers or camaro manifolds
i dont know if all camaro manifolds are the same way but i put a set on my v8 s10 and just recently put a set on a 350 im putting in a early 50s trucks. one stupid thing is they only have 2 studs where the y-pipe attaches so if you already have the rest of the exhaust going to have the change the flanges.
i know not the end of the world but just something to take note |
Re: headers or camaro manifolds
I haven't heard of any clearance issues with the Camaro manifolds.

Re: headers or camaro manifolds
Choosing exhaust manifolds or headers based on brake line clearance is kind of like choosing a truck to fit the radio you already have! :)
I would relocate the brake lines to clear the exhaust components you want to use. |
