Vacuum source

Which is the better source for vacuum, from the carb or from the intake manifold? Or is there no difference?

For what purpose? For most everything it would be off the intake manifold.

For vacuum advance off the carb. The non timed port of course.

There are different type vacuum outlets. It depends on what you are running it too to know which you need to use. Give your year model & engine size & what you want to send vacuum to & I or some other Stovebolters can answer.

Engine is 350, bored .30 over with mildly aggressive cam. Main concern is vacuum to the power brake system.
