Re: 03 2500 hd 4x4
i think this is a matter of how much $$ do you want to spend?
I prefer MOOG products where possible. otherwise if not available, i just buy the best parts available at the local parts store. -Izzy |
Re: 03 2500 hd 4x4
I agree with izzy, I use Moog whenever possible with a few exceptions. I just recently rebuilt the front end on my '04 Tahoe, used Moog for upper and lower ball joints, inner/outer tie rods, and control arm bushings. I bought Timken front wheel bearing hub assemblies though, as for the 6 luggers, the Moog is made in Asia (Korea, I think) and the Timken is US. Not sure on the 2500s, but generally it is hard to go wrong with Timken. I bought all my parts at rockauto or eBay. I work a lot and don't waste time going to parts stores that don't keep anything in stock (the ones around me are notorious for never having anything stocked).

I went with moog tie rod ends and skf bearings. I was considering using ppe tie rods, but I don't beat on my truck I just tow and daily drive it.

I also prefer moog for front end parts. I really like timken bearings, they are starting to get salty though.
