Convert 68 core support to fit 72 question
I have a mint 67/68 core support that I was hoping to make work. Can you think of a way to do this? Options??

Re: Convert 68 core support to fit 72 question
I think you could easily trade it for the right one. I have a mint 71 support and I would trade in heartbeat if you were close. You probably could weld on the headlight extensions but it would be a lot easier to have the right one.

Re: Convert 68 core support to fit 72 question
I converted a chevy to gmc last week, very easy, just weld on the headlight brackets. Do it with the grill and headlight trim installed to make sure they fit right.

As far as OP goes I didn't think you could go from 68 to 72 even with mods. I may learn something this thread. |

You can do the same with 67-8 too. Hard one to do is make any into is 67-8 chev from the others, the headlight bucket mount is molded into the core support, you have to cut that part out of another 67-8 chev to do it and then overlap or but weld it back in. |
Re: Convert 68 core support to fit 72 question
I started a new thread on this so we don't totally destroy Meangreen1's thread.
