Acceleration noise

When I hit the gas in my '85 C10 Silverado, I hear this loud constant mechanical clicking sound. It gets louder as I accelerate. It sounds like it is coming from behind the instrument cluster, but I cant be sure. Does anyone know what is causing this sound? Thanks.

Could be the speedometer cable. Take the cluster out and squirt some heavy lubricant down the cable and it should quiet down, if that's the case.
