How is the emblem mounted on the tailgate band? Isn't it supposed to be mounted on the left side of the band? Thanks

I think this was either a very early GMC band that didn't come with an emblem and they added it, or a replacement that never had the holes and the owner wanted the emblem in the center. Either way they didn't come in the center of the bands
