Single red wire on top of sending unit?
How does it attach? 85 swb gmc. Not the ground, it's a single wire and kinda looks like it has a little boot over where it attaches.

Re: Single red wire on top of sending unit?
305 and passenger side. Trying to drop the tank and would rather not just cut it.

ohhhhh...ok...when you said sending unit I was thinking temp or oil..

Re: Single red wire on top of sending unit?
It just pulls off a pin. The rubber boot holds it on. Don't cut it just pop it off. I usually unbolt the ground wire from the frame. It's easier to get at.

unser that boot should be a stud with a nut holding a wire ring terminal...should also be a ground wire that is a blade connector |

I doesn't look like it has a nut on it. Just kinda looks like a pin.

Re: Single red wire on top of sending unit?
Some of the different manufactorers make them differently, yours may just have a male pin on the top that a female connection on the wire plugs into.
