electric parking brake

so i while back i decided to address my "no parking brakes" issue.

i didnt want that lage handle "hand pull" style. i decided to do a stealth style.

the toggle switch is semi hidden. its a reverse polarity style amazon had that.
https://www.amazon.com/Position-Reve...olarity+switch

once the actuator stops at the ends of the run. in cuts off the power. cant say it locks it for sure. the metal gears seem to hold pretty good. i "set the truck" on a steep angle hill and after several adjustments got it to stat in place with out "creeping forward".

the actuator a 2" 330 lbs max hold linear style. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Inch-Premi...gAAOSwUKxYdlGg

i couldnt find the one i purchased. mine was from china and was only $38.00 and took 3 weeks to arrive. the sellers name is sunshineforever5188 thats on ebay.

the cables are from http://www.controlcables.com/ 100 bucks shipped to my door. not giving the part # out. you have to mearsure your own for the best fit.
you could even order two actuators. and put one one each side of the cab. better holding power. one fails then at least you have the other one.

by the way. if someone tries to steal the truck via pull rope/cable the brakes are locked up. take to long for someone to trouble shoot as to how i did it. time is a theifs enemy.

hope i covered everthing.

Here is a cheaper linear actuator from China.

750 NM = 553 ft lbs.

I purchased a kit someone couldn't figure out (at a killer deal) like this one I plan to install under the bed behind the cab.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Speedway-Pow...item58c28063e3
The switch is a rotary momentary switch I put in place of the choke and used a wiper switch knob.
Thinking of using a mechanical brake light switch to light a dash light.
Then will use two relays for the control.

I was thinking about getting one. Maybe mount under the cab on the frame rail.
