No experience with roll pans personally, but Classic Industries and LMC sell them. With or without licence plate pocket.

This. I just recently replaced my ranch style tow bumper and hitch with a sport bumper. You will need the bumper brackets, licence plate mount, and licence plate light. Also will need the bolts for the bumper. For the bumper I went with Auto Metal Direct. Very happy with it
Good chrome, no dents or scratches. I personally really like the looks of sport bumpers, and I was still able to put the hitch on underneath it, in case I need to pull a trailer.

I know you were asking about roll pans, but if you decide to go with a sport bumper I hope this helps.

I don't have any pictures of mine yet, but it is all installed. A sport bumper is a chrome bumper that is not a step/tow bumper. So it's rounded on top per say, and has a bracket for the licence plate in the middle. A Google Image Search of "C10 Sport Bumper" should give you some results of what they are and how they look on a C10. Mine is a K25 but I put one on because that is the style I like. And you can put a hitch receiver underneath if you ever want to tow.

For the bumper that I purchased (although mine is the 1973-80 style since my truck is a '78) this is what you would want. http://www.autometaldirect.com/amd-r...an-p-1382.html
Of course there are other manufacturers out there this is the one I went with, with zero complaints.

That would be the sport bumper that you would need for an '85 if you decide to go that route and purchase from that manufacturer.

If you have anymore questions about the bumper or installation of the other required parts feel free to ask, since I just went through the process of installing one myself.

Why would you avoid a roll pan? I'm running a Sir Michael roll pan on my 83 and like it. had it welded in when the truck was painted ;)
*Plus I don't haul or tow.

I have one 85 C10 with a Sir Michaels (no longer in business) rollpan and one with a sport bumper.
I like both, but sometimes I wish I would have went with a sport bumper

The rollpan is also steel/welded on.

I'm pretty sure the indside brackets won't interchange between sport and step...http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/sm...?topic=23210.0

You are correct. Different brackets for each bumper

I used a PROefx part# efxr15 for under $100 and it is a solid piece. I had to notch the center of bed for the plate but was no big deal.I didnt weld it on i pop rivet & made brackets on the underside.

For roll pans it depends on which one you get. You can get them with a license plate pocket or without.

For sport bumpers, you will need a license plate bracket. They are like $25 new, and it bolts in place in the center opening of the bumper.

So if I go with the bumper I have to buy Brackets, Bolts, License Plate Bracket, And Light?
If I go the other way I just get the part? Hmmmmmm

Well I got my New Ridler Mags and New Tires on today.
What You Guys Think????
I think they look AWESOME with the 2x4 lower kit I had put on last week.
I know it's hard to tell from the photo.
The front are Ridler Style 695 Grey Wheel with Machined Lip (17x8"/5x127mm)
The back are Ridler Style 695 Grey Wheel with Machined Lip (18x9.4"/5x127mm)

Re: 1985 c10 fleetside rear roll pan

Yeah! I hear ya. But it sure is easier for my 5' tall wife to get in it now, The new tires are allot lower in profile so it increases the gap on the front.
