Where to cut to "bob"

How close can I cut to the spring mount rivets? I'd like to cut even with that last support. Too close?
Thank you,
Al

Hahaha! I already did it. Don't regret it. Not my original intentions though. That picture was an inspiration for the stance and dually wheels but I hadn't planned on cutting the frame that short. In this thread I was asking about cutting the 72 frame I got for parts but was considering swapping my cab to. It had 157 inch wheelbase so it was ridiculously long and I thought it would be kind of cool if I bobbed the back end. It would have still given me a 9 1/2 ft bed. But I'm really looking for a short little around town hot rod. For many other reasons as well I decided to stick with the 63 frame and cut it short.

I'm not really restoring this truck I'm making a shop truck rat rod out of it. It was about to be junked anyway. I'm doing a flat bed of nails so I'm looking for something wild. It will be about a 3 1/2 ft by 5 1/2 ft wood bed with about 8-10" rusted concrete forming stakes as nails. Short and stubby. It will spend a good deal of time parked in front of my tattoo shop grabbing attention. I live in a small Arizona town where the hot rod scene is huge but you don't see many of these years of trucks rodded out. Most go for the older years.
