WTB drive shaft for shortbed
 
as title says , i need a 1 piece drive shaft. should be 57 inches between
centers of u joints. can be with or without front yoke. its going on a truck with a turbo 350 automatic.
should be somewhere in the southeast or at least be cheap on shipping. what do you have?

Have you looked into having a new one built locally ? it may be less expensive and faster than finding a good used on and the cost to have one shipped ?:chevy:

Did they come originally in one piece stock? I have one available,(72 swb) but its a two-piece with the carrier bearing.
If not I would also suggest having a shop fab one as thats what I did.

yes 1 piece ones are out there.

no i havent looked into having one built , but if nothing turns up here , i may have to do that.
i was hoping that there was someone close that may have what i need.

I bought one from them about six months go, for 179.00 with yoke. received it two days later, thought it was a good deal.

I just bought one from them for my Falcon. Super reasonable, fast shipping and a warranty. That's tough to beat.

I have a steel one had built by Broward Powertrain has about 10 miles on it,I will get exact measurements tomorrow.It was in my 71 c10 factory shortbed with SBC and turbo 350 from a 79 corvette.Don't need anymore I am running a LS3 4l85e with aluminum driveshaft.Still have receipt for it somewhere in my paperwork.

Here are a few pics of receipt.I paid $232 for it + put my turbo 350 yoke on it.
I will get the measurements in the morning.

Measured the driveshaft it is 59 1/4" center to center.

oh well,.thats 2 inches to long for me, thanks anyway brian1971, but i have to pass on it.
maybe your drive shaft can help the other poster on this thread that wanted to be next in line.

Traditionally the GMC would have been a 2 piece and the Chevrolet would have been a 1 piece but back then you could order it the way you wanted. Same with leaf and coil spring rears.
