Steering Column | Steering shaft | HELP

2 Attachment(s)
I am swapping my steering column on my truck. The steering column that the truck came with was from a newer model with no tilt. Now that I'm swapping it, I have noticed that the connection from the column to the steering shaft is different. The one that was on there has a pressure connection type entry (Picture #2), and the one that I got a hold of is held by a bolt (Picture #1).

I need suggestions please. ((((HELP)))))

1. Do I need the correct steering shaft?
2. Can I change the steering shaft connection?

Please advise, and please excuse my ignorance, I'm new at DIY

The easiest way to work around that difference would be to get the lower shaft that matches up with the column you plan to use.

Thank you very much, they have a hot rod swap meet tomorrow in Long Beach, I'll check and see if I can match one up.

I hear you can use one from a Jeep, I'll have to research that. Thanks for the suggestion...
