Drive shaft question
 

I and installing a 5.3/6L80e combo. What is everyone doing for the drive shaft. Staying 2 piece or converting to single?

We are putting a 5.3 and 4L60E in my 67 Suburban and staying with a two piece. I've read that people have had their stock shaft modified.

I would stick with a 2 piece on a Suburban.

You might try a 350/350 two piece shaft. I put an LS1/4l60e combo in my Panel Truck and that shaft fit with no modifications. I don't remember off the top of my head if it was the long one or short one. If I get a chance today I will measure it.....

Inland Empire sells a two piece shaft that slides in and out so that when you lower the suburban in does not bind. I have one in my truck and it works great. They also use the heavy duty aftermarket poly center bearing support.

Scott do you remember how much you paid for your two piece shaft with the carrier bearing?
