T56 shifter photo request
 

Hey fellas, this is my first post on the trusty ol' forum, so correct me if I screw up in any way. I'm throwing a 98 LS T56 into my low hump cab 66 C10 with a bench seat. I'm aware of the SST kit that relocates the shifter 13" forward, but working with limited funds, I'm trying hard not to spend 400 bucks on something that could be potentially remedied for free. I am picking up my T56 this weekend so I can't mock it up and check the stock shifter location right now.. Trying to sort out each aspect of the swap beforehand. Has anyone here used their F-Body T56 with the stock shifter location? If so, pictures would be incredibly appreciated so I can see where in the floor it will emerge. I'm thinking of trying something like this (Stolen pic from H.A.M.B.- shoutout to 35PontiacCoupe) just worried the throw will be uncomfortably long. Thanks everyone!! :metal:
