Need a Measurement
 

Would someone who has a stock height K10 or K1500 do a couple measurements and reply with results. I would like to know distance from the ground to bottom of both front and back center of the wheel wells. I would also need to know the height of your tires. I'm restoring a K1500 that p o had installed what I thought was a 6" lift. I didn't want the truck lifted that much, but didn't have the heart to go all the way back to stock. I bought a Tuff Country 2" set of springs, but the truck sits and looks higher than I imagined a 2" lift would look like. Thanks for any info provided.

If all else fails. Why not measure your tail gate top and bottom and add the amount of gapx2 to those dimensions? Just a thought.

May be difficult to find factory height- My K10 springs are weak & I'm sure it's lower than it was in 72. If someone installed new stock springs recently, they would be able to help you. I just bought some 2" rough country springs for my future restoration- not excited to hear they're too high
