LED Dash lights how many
Hey Guys,
Looking to replace the stock dash light bulbs with LEDs on a 1980 Scottsdale any idea of how many bulbs are required and the part number of the bulbs. I'm away from the truck at the moment and want to order them from Super Bright LED's Does any one have picks of some conversions? Thanks |

Do a search...a few people have done them with some great write ups.

Re: LED Dash lights how many
Number needed for back light depends on number of gauges vs idiot lights in your cluster. I have a cluster out of an 89 Suburban that I plan on putting in my 75. 89 was the last year Suburban's used our style of cluster.
My full gauge cluster has 5 backlight bulbs. Used WLED-WW5 Used WLED-R-90 for a couple of supplemental idiot lights as backup attention getters for my gauges. Turn signals got WLED-G-90 Highbeam got WLED-B-90. All numbers are Superbrightleds.com numbers. One pleasant surprise I found is these LED bulbs don't care about polarity. Some brands/numbers do care. Your stock dash light dimmer switch won't work with LEDs. They don't draw enough current to create much voltage drop across the dimmer rheostat. You will be stuck with full bright LEDs unless you find a workaround. |

Not exactly sure I bought a 20 pack on eBay and its as simple as take the old ones out and put the new ones in. Worked fine.
