Wheel studs?

How hard is it to remove the lug bolts on the newer chevys/gmc's? I have an '89 and want to put 1/2" -3/4" spacers on but I will probably need new studs. TIA, DK

I've popped rear ones out with a big hammer.. I hever tried to remove a good one from a front wheel with a disc brake on it.

a couple of wacks with a good sized hammer & out the old studs come. I changed the rotors on my car last winter & before I threw out the old rotors I pounded the old studs out. IF ya wanna reuse the old studs ya might wanna put a nut on it before you hit it - that will save the end & the threads. Its kinda fun to do actually...
