16.5 x 8.25 Nub Type Wheels

2 Attachment(s)
This pair of wheels would be perfect for a C/20 or C/30 Custom Camper or other. You used to see a lot of trucks with utility bodies, camper haulers, race car/boat/camper tow vehicles running these. They were an option as well as available aftermarket. 9.50 hiway tread are available in radial or bias. Sandblasted and painted in exc. cond. $100 + shipping. Postal money order

Re: 16.5 x 8.25 Nub Type Wheels

I'll check into it, but I just checked shipping to AZ for stock 15"s and it was $50 insane dollars each. I considered lowering my price to help the guy out, but just can't swallow giving more to ship than what I get, especially after sandblasting and paint. $200 to send a set of wheels is ridiculous. They stick it to the individual so the big box guys can offer free shipping... or charge way way less. Fastenal's quote was within $3 of FedEx...who drops at your door. So they are not the great deal some say they are...or were.

Re: 16.5 x 8.25 Nub Type Wheels

Huh, not so bad after all. Looks like it's only $129.92 for end of 4 business days with FedEx. But for only $279.86 you can have them by the 12th (if I sent today). Patience is a virtue because if you just have to have these ASAP it will cost you $590.64 to get them tomorrow. If 2 days will work it's $382.78. So after all that $130 looks cheap. Now I want to raise my price to $130 to match shipping

Anyone closer want a shot at these wheels that were the hot lick on a C/20 back in the day?

Re: 16.5 x 8.25 Nub Type Wheels

Some nice hubcaps are for sale on the forum. Need wide rear wheels? Firestone makes 9.50 radials for these wheels in a hiway tread. And they aren't any more expensive than what you'd expect to pay on a 3/4t.

These make great Christmas gifts to yourself. A C/20 with these on the rear are so cool.

Nice wheels and great price for ones ready to bolt on !! I have heard and seen cases of people arguing with themselves on several occasions. But this is the first time ever that I have seen someone agreeing with themselves. That's an impressive sales technique.

Any idea on shipping to 98042? Are you asking 100 each or for the pair?

special-K 12-18-2017 07:24 AM

Re: 16.5 x 8.25 Nub Type Wheels

I didn't get a chance to get them out to weigh yesterday. I wish I had saved this info. I am selling as a pair for $100. I'll get Undertaker his quote and you are next if he passes.

Here it is February and I can see the light at the end of this tunnel called winter. If others are like me, that means thought turning to spring and preparing for the good times to follow, like adding cool factor to that C/20 or C/30 by adding these wide factory option wheels and a pair Firestone Transforce 9.50 radials. Get the look of the era!

These wheels are still 'round.

Re: 16.5 x 8.25 Nub Type Wheels

Not to hijack your thread, but did these wheels ever come in 5 lug? I'd like to get some for my truck but 5 lug.

special-K 03-17-2018 01:20 PM

Re: 16.5 x 8.25 Nub Type Wheels

Back in the day they did come in 5-lug 16.5 x 9.75. There was no wide truck tire made in 15" back then. But now you can buy a 15 x 10 or probably a 16 x 10 from Wheel Vintiques.
