4500lbs in the bed?

No problem!

Those pallets weigh about 2250lbs each. Wasn't even on the stops yet.

Nice! Off topic, but what wheels are you running?

Some vintage Alcoas.

Suspected as much. They look great. I've been cruising the interwebs for my own set, but they're seemingly hard to find for a good price. Thanks for the reply!

That's a sweet rig! It looks like those 2 pallets didn't bother it much.

Great looking truck!

What’s the backstory on it?

Appears to be in pristine condition!

Was sitting for sale for a long time in a rural area southwest of Phoenix. I drove past it a few times on the way to my girlfriend's house. Saw a lot of people looking, but no one buying. Figured that he probably wanted way too much for it.

Saw the owner out one day taking down the sign so I stopped to find out if he sold it. Turns out his company was sending him overseas for 6 mos and he was going to put it into storage. He was second owner. First owner was his neighbor. Been an AZ truck its whole life - zero rust. 86K original miles. Needed A/C redone and a new headliner. I asked him what he was asking, and he said that he'd take $3500 just to get rid of it before he left. I handed him the $100 that I had in my wallet and told him I'd be back in 20 min with the rest.

Wow, what an awesome story and purchase!

That’s a situation that most of us could only hope for - thanks for sharing!
