Carb to Throttle Body Injection
I am thinking of switching to a TBI on my new 350 next year instead of another carb. I need some info and/or tips on what kit to use, and what it takes to hook all the stuff up.
My truck is a 65 Suburban with a TH350, and soon a 350 engine. Thanks in advance |

Re: Carb to Throttle Body Injection
Thanks guys I will look in to this. I also am wanting to switch to an HEI dizzy that isn't computer controlled but need a small cap as the larger one wont fit without firewall modification. I'm looking at these ideas as my truck stalled yesterday after a higher speed run(70 mph) and when I turned onto a road, the engine died. The temp gauge was at the halfway mark, and I know my current carb is running rich again so that may have something to do with the stalling.

A large cap HEI will fit into a '60-'66 truck with a small block in it's original location and no firewall modification.
Here is another option for a inexpensive aftermarket TBI. http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=746297 |

Re: Carb to Throttle Body Injection
Stay with the carb. I have had a lot of trouble with switching from the carb to tbi. The carb I would recommend is the Holley 650 cfi.

The reviews look great.

Re: Carb to Throttle Body Injection
I'm not fond of Holley carbs Had one on a 350 back in the late 80's and didn't work for squat. I am going with an Edelbrock intake and carb when I switch to a 350 next year. Thanks for the input everybody. It is appreciated.
